EARLY LIFE / FAMILY LIFE
Early Life: Dr. Gentry was born in El Reno, Ok on April 8, 1951. He most of his childhood in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The Church of the Nazarene has been a very important part of his life. Following the conversion of his parents, Emmanuel and Leona Gentry, they became very active in the Midwest City First Church of the Nazarene. Early pastoral influences on his life included, Nolan Culbertson, H.M. Curtis, Henry Cheatwood, and Harold C. Davis.
Family Life: Dr. Gentry married Diana K. Sharp on August 2, 1973 and they have three wonderful children ... (1) Penny Sather, a secondary math teacher at a high school in Texas; she is married to Bryan, they are parents to our 2 grandchildren. (2) Amy, who lives in the Denton, Texas area and is in retail sales; and (3) Andrew Gentry who lives in Ft. Worth and working in retail sales.

(1983) Bachelor of Theology (Th.B.) and (1985) Master of Theology (Th.M.) from Freelandia Institute ... (1995) Master of MInistry (M.Min.) from Southern Nazarene University ... (2003) Doctor of Practical Ministry (D.P.Min.) from Master's Graduate School of Divinity. Due to his work with community, social, educational, and ministerial groups he is listed in the 3rd and 4th editions of "Marquis' Who's Who In Religion."
Revivalist Ministry: While pastoring Dr. Gentry has had the opportunity as an evangelist to hold meetings in the following states: Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, Illinois and Maryland. He has limited time available for revivals during 2008 - 2010 for any church that would be interested in a revival. Since the major focus of revival meetings is upon getting the church revived, Dr. Gentry considers himself a "revivalist" rather than an "evangelist." Confirmed Revivals ...
